LUCKY TEDDY

Last night we were at Madison Square Garden for the Bruce Springsteen concert:

The show was great, but it was mostly songs from his newer stuff, and a lot of covers. Now, I would pay to hear Bruce sing Enya so it's not like the concert was BAD, but there were a lot of songs I was hoping to hear that weren't played. I was also just generally cranky for no good reason at all.

Ted had never been to a Bruce Springsteen Concert (I know. Embarrassing) and he had the best time ever. And I realized that he is someone who goes into most situations ready to have the best time ever.  I do not have this same approach to life.

Despite the fact that I take a large amount of medication to make myself bearable to others (thank God for modern medicine!), I am still not easy to live with. Yet Teddy manages to make me feel as though he is the luckiest guy in the world to have me. Today he brought me some flowers:

It's just some hyacinth from our yard, and I didn't polish the silver cup I put them in because I'm lazy like that, but I think they're beautiful.

And I think that I probably don't stop often enough to take a moment and be grateful for Teddy, and the fact that he's in my life. I mean, let's be honest. This post should really be called LUCKY ME.
